Mr Ahmed Naqeeb

Mr Ahmed Naqeeb is a general surgeon with over 35 years of clinical practice in Australia. His areas of focus include breast and skin cancer surgery, head and neck procedures, endocrine surgery, and abdominal operations such as hernia repair and gallbladder removal. He also manages chronic conditions including diverticulitis, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GORD), and haemorrhoids, and provides surveillance care for patients with a history of bowel or breast cancer.

He has a strong interest in multidisciplinary cancer care and regularly participates in the Grampians Integrated Cancer Service (GICS) Gastrointestinal, Head and Neck, and Breast Multidisciplinary Meetings.

Mr Naqeeb holds Fellowships with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS), the Royal College of Surgeons and Physicians (Glasgow), the International College of Surgeons (USA), the Arab Board for Medical Specialisation in General Surgery, and the Iraqi Board for Medical Specialisation in General Surgery. He is also a member of the European Association of Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgery.

He is involved in surgical education and trauma care, serving as an instructor in trauma surgery for the Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) and Early Management of Severe Trauma (EMST) programs through the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons.

Mr Naqeeb is fluent in English and Arabic, supporting effective communication with patients from diverse cultural backgrounds. He consults in Mount Waverley, Ballarat, Stawell, and Ararat, and operates at several hospitals, including Waverley Private Hospital, Ballarat Health Services, Ararat Hospital, and St John of God Hospital.
